Background dimensions - 4-inch Screen Problem
« on: March 18, 2014, 10:24:40 pm »
Hello all,

I've been working on an app that has a background of size 320x568 and when I simulate it, the simulation runs just fine, but when I run it on my iPhone 5S, I can see that there are two black spaces at the top and bottom of my app that won't go away. Is anyone else getting this or know how to fix it? I have tried to change the background size from 320x480 to 320x568 to 680x1136 and still those black spaces keep appearing. I searched this forum and found just one mention of the black spaces that I'm finding but there didn't seem to be a good solution.

Cheers

Hiya,

This might be useful for you.

You'll need an image of this size: 640 x 1136.

Good luck!

Hi there Mikey,

Thanks for your response, I have tried to use a 640x1136 image as well and I still have not had any success. I am using this command to set my image to the background:

ViewAdd("Images/Background.png", 0, 0)

I just tried again and the black bars are still there and the image is not centered at all for the simulation nor on my iPhone.

Thanks

Build Center builds doesn't support 4 inch screen resolution.
