OTA e-mail
« on: June 27, 2012, 10:56:01 pm »
Hi guys,
from time to time (actually pretty often these days), even with a successful build, I don't receive the OTA e-mail.
And no, it's not in my spam folder.
Any ideas?  :)

OTA e-mails do, indeed, get sent for each successful build (as long as you're not opted out of e-mails from us...)

It could be an issue with your ISP or e-mail provider.  I know that recently, e-mails from us to customers with @yahoo.com e-mail addresses were bouncing back, so this could have been the issue...

Well I have to admit my e-mail provider sometimes has issues...
Is there any way I can change my customer e-mail?

If you download a free QR camera app for your phone/ipad/itouch then you can scan the code if you log into your account on the DFSDK build server website and the QR code when scanned will install your app once build. Not the OTA but a quicker way of installing your build apps!

I do use the qr code when the OTA e-mail doesn't show up (great feature by the way!)

I had same problem.
In my case, the code had errors (download the app.zip and see Errors.txt). This is why I did not receive an OTA e-mail.

I think qr code links to previous build that doesn't have any error.

It would be nice if failed builds would email the error, or at least a "FAILED - go check the zip for details", rather than a mysterious silence :)

Agreed.  Let me see what I can do and I'll see if I can slip this feature into the Build Center website...

Awesome, thanks Tim! In fact, I noticed about 24 hours after my post I got a failed build email, so either you already had provision for most error categories (my bad) or that was really fast work!
