Touch Area callback not firing on top of Note
« on: August 27, 2012, 12:25:02 am »
When I place a Touch area on top of a note, it's not firing the event.  Any way to fix that?  The note has Editable set to 0 and Visible set to 1.

I just answered my own question -- it was a matter of containers.  If I put another container on top of the one with the note, and a touch area on that container, it worked just fine.  I'm not sure why it behaves this way with notes and not other items, but that's the workaround.

Think of it this way:

The screen is container zero.
Then, you add a container on "top of" the screen container.
Then, you add a touch area to the screen which is "behind" the container you just added...

See the issue?  You just added a touch area to something that was already covered up and the new container blocked the touch from ever happening.

No, it was a problem with the Note.  It was intercepting the touch unless I layered another container on it.   The **exact** same code worked with Text -- pretty strange.
