I'm beginning to think that the days of DragonFireSDK are now over.... (It was a shame too)

I got my project about 90% complete with DragonFireSDK, and have since had to buy a mac and am now re-coding it in Swift/SpriteKit...

The transition to SpriteKit has been very odd at times. Graphics run much slower on SpriteKit, and I miss working with C.

Swift however is an easy language that I learned in a day. Stay away from Obj-C if your a noob. Swift is much better and is the future anyway.

Dragonfiresdk has no more support, so yes it is dying. Unless they bring back support dragonfiresdk will cease soon. I hope I'm wrong because dragonfiresdk is better than spritekit on a Mac.

hi Nakhash

maybe the support is very slow, but is very documented and easy.
Yesterday I used Build center this took about 45 minutes.
there many SDK's but the best way is in C language
don't break you brain with others codes. :o

I have mentioned to support (Tim) I would be interrested in purchasing the build center software. If more people were interrested mabey Dragonfire would consider selling it to us so we could build our own apps from C++ code. I would be worth it to me not to have to learn Obj-c.

Hi ericB
to buy build center
I think thas a good idea but the support increase yet more.
you don't need learn Objetive-C, because SDK it due for you.

(FAQ)
-Is my code converted to Objective-C?
No conversion takes place. DragonFireSDK uses Objective-C objects under the hood on the iOS side, and when you call DragonFireSDK functions from C, you are using the native iOS objects.

Hi Eric

I've been curious about that too. It would be neat to have there game library for my Mac.

So far spritekit is getting easier for me. I may just keep using the Mac instead.

This would be interesting. I'd be happy to contribute to this venture.

DFSDK Mac Library Release! $99
« Reply #13 on: April 09, 2015, 09:53:18 am »
We are looking at making everyone self sufficient so they can do their own builds of DFSDK on a mac. We will give a couple of users the library so they can test with it. Please let us know if you want to try it. The library is very stable and mature now. It is clearly the easiest way to write an iPhone/iPad app - in C/C++

We need to work with a couple of Mac savvy DFSDK users who can help other users traverse building their own apps using the library on a Mac. Please email sandra@zimusoft.com if you want to become the DFSDK Mac Library "Link Master" who can become a forum moderator to help people on this topic!

FYI: Micro Center has a new Mac Mini for only $399 - do your own builds at a low cost. The DFSDK Mac Library will cost $99 and will be 50% off to current owners of DFSDK.
